Year 11 Deakin Uni Visit

On Thursday August 29th, the Year 11’s visited Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds campus. On arrival students were divided into three main groups, led by current Deakin students. The groups were provided with maps and timetables, and then instructed to find their way around campus to various information sessions.

'Map Your Future' was a session informing students on various educational pathways, building knowledge on selecting your own unique and career route.

" Level Up" was an insight into effective study habits, tools and strategies to guide students through VCE.

'Surviving To Thriving' was a discussion about approaches to navigate challenging aspects of life, where students participated in wellbeing activities, learning about the importance of self-care, identifying signs of stress, healthy solutions and support available.

The day gave students an insight into what university life offers, providing them with valuable information and resources to assist students with the end of high school.
